The Austrian investor “Q·CAPITAL VENTURES” invested in fresh five* premiumfood Ltd., the German market leader for organic ice cream and frozen yoghurt. The capital will be invested in the expansion of the “kissyo” brand in Germany and Austria as well as in the launch of new products in the field of organic, low-fat and low-sugar snacks and desserts.
Fresh five* premiumfood Ltd. was founded in 2011 by Lutz Haufe in Heilbronn. fresh five* premiumfood today is one of the German market leaders in the field of organic frozen yogurt (kissyo). In addition, the young company has successfully placed a demeter-certified product range (“Schrozberger Milchbauern” brand) on the market. Since early 2016, there is also vegan ice cream (Carlotta VEGAN).
Quality, organic, healthy and natural ingredients are the top priority for fresh five* premiumfood. So frozen yogurt really must be made from yogurt. “For us, a product is only a genuine and honest frozen yoghurt if the yoghurt content is very high and even for fruit varieties is still over 50 %” Managing Director Lutz Haufe emphasizes. 90 % of the products marketed as Frozen Yogurt do not reach this standard.
The strong quality course has already been rewarded several times: Most recently, the company won the Eat Healthy Award 2016 with kissyo Premium Frozen Yogurt NATUR. Because with 100 % organic ingredients, only 1.5 % fat and less than 100kcal per 100ml, it is a low-calorie ice cream- and snack-alternative. In 2017, the new sandwich ice cream was awarded Best New Product in the Frozen Food category at the “Biofach” fair.[1]
